3 RECENT CLEO Υ ( 1 S ) and Υ ( 3 S ) RESULTS

Recent CLEO results on the observation of the Υ(1D) state and a search for the η b (1S) state from a data sample of 4.7 × 10 6 Υ(3S) decays collected with the CLEO-III detector, and a measurement of the η ′ production spectrum using 1.9 × 10 6 Υ(1S) decays collected with the CLEO-II detector are described.

Using a 4.19 fb−1 data sample collected with the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we have searched for dipion transitions between pairs of Υ resonances at center of mass energies Ecm = 10.58 GeV and Ecm = 10.52 GeV.
